Robbie Kirk, who will deputise for the injured Richard Heasley for the rest of the season, led the 2nd XI to a superb victory over Waringstown II at Shaw's Bridge on Saturday.

On Saturday 15th May, the 2nds played North Down at Shaw's Bridge and recorded a great victory by 48 runs.

3^rd May 2010

The 2^nd XI recorded their opening league win of the 2010 season against CSNI on Bank Holiday Monday on a slow Stormont pitch.  After winning the toss, the team worked hard to bat through all but three balls of their 50 overs and, despite a slow start, amassed a very respectable 210 runs.  Later, some good, old-fashioned straight bowling restricted CSNI to 136 all out in 40.5 overs.

24^th April 2010

The newly-promoted 2nds fought hard on Saturday but ultimately lost their opening league game of the season to a more experienced Ballymena 2^nd XI by 58 runs.  Chasing Ballymena’s decent total of 175 all out in 46.4 overs, a makeshift Inst side started promisingly, reaching 97 for 4, before a dramatic collapse saw them lose their last four wickets in four balls!
